Senior Medical Writer – Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)

About the Role As a Senior Medical Writer you will create medically accurate, account‑appropriate content for healthcare professionals and patients across multiple therapeutic areas. You will research, write, and edit text in collaboration with medical and copy teams, ensuring scientific validity and clinical applicability. The position requires strong conceptual skills, the ability to rapidly master new therapeutic domains, and effective communication with internal teams and clients. Key Responsibilities

Create medically accurate content for healthcare professionals and patients. Develop expertise across multiple therapeutic areas in a short time. Collaborate with medical and copy teams to research, write, and edit content with scientific validity. Research and secure reliable references for medical and scientific statements. Ensure content is fully cited and supported by reliable sources. Attend client review meetings and incorporate feedback. Participate in kickoff, status, and other project meetings. Communicate proactively with team members and clients. Maintain project parameters including timelines, budgets, and content limits. Present viewpoints clearly and persuasively. Address challenges proactively. Build strong relationships with Account, Creative, and Editorial teams. Stay updated on medical developments and publications. Qualifications

PhD, PharmD, or equivalent experience in Life Sciences. 1–2 years of experience in medical advertising or medical communications; agency experience preferred but not required. Background in Immunology, Neurology, or Rare Disease preferred. Commitment to evidence‑based medicine and public health principles. Experience navigating regulatory scrutiny and promotional guardrails. Ability to handle multiple therapeutic areas quickly. Strong analytical and data interpretation skills. Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills. Project management skills to work with limited direction and tight deadlines. Knowledge of PubMed, Veeva PromoMats, and related research tools. Drive to stay current with medical advancements. Compensation

Salary range:

$86,450‑$103,740

(based on skills, experience, location, and other factors). Benefits
