Job Description The HR Business Partner supports the HR team and will be responsible for implementing and managing the necessary human resources strategy to meet the business objectives of the Company. Core responsibilities include recruiting, organizational development, employee and labor relations, salary administration, performance management, employee rewards and recognition management, succession planning, training & development, AAP and EEO related programs, benefits administration, employee relations, safety and workers’ compensation.
Responsibilities
Support the site Human Resources function in deploying HR policies, programs and initiatives including employment, compensation, employee relations, training, talent acquisition and development, work practices and employee selection to improve the site’s organization capability.
Administer, interpret, and enforce all Company and HR policies and procedures.
Champion culture initiatives.
Address & resolve wage and hour issues and compliance.
Maintain and update job descriptions and HR forms as necessary.
Assist with employee benefit administration/enrollment.
Support daily employee related activities and processes to promote positive employee relations.
Conduct new employee orientation.
Conduct recruiting activities which include sourcing, scheduling interviews and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Manage college recruitment and internship programs with local universities.
Process employment and recruiting requisitions to ensure integrity in all HR systems with timely and accurate data entry and frequent audits.
Conduct general or specific training sessions where needed.
Provide counsel and support to resolve interpersonal conflicts and employee relations issues.
Work with supervisors/managers on effective handling of retention, performance management, and engagement strategies.
Manage employee rewards and recognition program.
Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
Maintain employee personnel and benefit files, including electronic files.
Run and create reports, analyze information, and provide/analyze data.
Assist with other HR related duties and projects as necessary.
Qualifications
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred.
5+ years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of State and Federal laws pertaining to employment.
Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of HR issues and communications.
Knowledge of HRIS systems and payroll functions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships and influence positively.
Positive attitude and a proactive approach to problem solving and addressing challenges.
Ability to interact with internal and external customers with a positive and professional image at all times.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and with a team.
Labor Relations experience is a plus.
