We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Superintendent to join our team in Seymour, TN. You will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent to efficiently manage all aspects of course maintenance and operations. Responsibilities include supervising the maintenance staff, monitoring course conditions, implementing turf management programs, and ensuring the highest standards of course maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a passion for golf course management, strong leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.
You will collaborate with the Superintendent to develop and implement maintenance strategies, irrigation schedules, and pest control programs. You will also assist in ordering chemicals and coordinating equipment maintenance. The Assistant Superintendent plays a vital role in maintaining the course's aesthetic appeal, playability, and overall success. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and career advancement upon retirement of the current superintendent.
Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Turfgrass Management or related field preferred.
Minimum of 4 years experience in golf course maintenance
Strong knowledge of turfgrass care and maintenance practices
Experience with irrigation systems and equipment
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Valid DL, Social Security number or passport, must be able to pass a Background Check.
