Job Description Position Overview Responsible for supporting ISB/Blowmolding process, including operation of palletizers and strappers, baggers. Operation of blowmold machines involves performing short-cycle, repetitive, and control functions in set patterns to attain high-quality production output that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
To be considered a qualified candidate for this position, an individual must have completed required training for the position.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties Maintains standard production objectives through proper machine operation and accurately records production. Knows and practices safe and proper start-up and shut-down procedures for each machine. Performs minor adjustments to machinery involving hand movements and simple hand tools to ensure smooth, continued machine operation. Follows and adheres to all Food Safety requirements within the plant. Has authority to stop machines/production to communicate machine problems and breakdowns to Supervisor or Maintenance Mechanic. Inspects product for quality defects. Has authority to stop production due to quality issues. Maintains housekeeping of all assigned areas. This includes applying Good Manufacturing Practices to meet plant goals. Actively participates in Quality training and Good Manufacturing Practice meetings to assist in continuous improvement of plant operations. Follows all established safety rules and guidelines as outlined in the Employee Handbook and as trained during the various safety-related training programs. Understands and communicates all hazards and safety issues to co-workers and managers/supervisors. Properly uses all personal protective equipment. Performs other related duties as directed by the Shift Supervisor/Production Manager.
Qualifications
Requires high school diploma or equivalent. Some post-secondary education preferred (i.e. Technical or Vocational education).
Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
