Responsibilities The Receiving Specialist is responsible for receiving, verifying, recording, and delivering incoming shipments using automated systems. This role ensures accurate processing of purchase orders, timely delivery of materials to internal customers, and proper maintenance of inventory areas. The Receiving Specialist plays a key role in maintaining operational efficiency and supporting organizational standards, including diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Utilize the MMIS system to receive and verify packages and purchase orders.
Research and resolve packages received without corresponding purchase orders in a timely manner.
Receive, inspect, unpack, verify, and record incoming shipments.
Prepare packages safely and securely for internal transport.
Deliver items promptly to appropriate end users (internal customers).
Verify delivery accuracy and confirm purchase order and receipt information in MMIS.
Load, unload, wrap, and secure items using pallet jackets and other equipment.
Maintain organized, clean, and secure inventory and receiving areas.
Keep accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
Demonstrate visible commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through collaboration and participation in organizational initiatives.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Basic computer or handheld device proficiency required.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with customers and team members.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through inclusive behaviors and proactive bias management.
(Preferred) One (1) year of warehouse or supply chain experience.
