JOB SUMMARY Supervise and coordinate the department's responses to all subpoenas, court orders, and requests for Public Defender files. Respond to subpoenas, court orders, and requests, such as (1) issued to the Cook County Public Defender (CCPD) for its files and records, including Electronically Stored Information (ESI): (2) issued to employees for deposition or trial testimony relating to client representation, and (3) issued in civil actions to Public Defender clients. Answer all Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests for CCPD records in accordance with the Illinois FOIA.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from an accredited law school with a Juris Doctorate (JD) and
Five (5) years of criminal defense, civil litigation or directly related experienceis required.
Three (3) years of prior supervisory experienceis required.
Licensetopracticelaw inthestateofIllinoisis required.
Abilitytoobtainandmaintainlicenseand/orcertificationrequirementsis required.
*Degrees awarded outside of the United States with the exception of those awarded in one of the United States’ territories and Canada must be credentialed by an approved U.S. credential evaluation service belonging to the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) or the Association of International Credential Evaluators (AICE).
