Mission
At Databricks, our mission is to simplify and democratize data and AI so more organizations can solve the world’s toughest problems. As a Product Designer focused on AI/BI experiences, your mission is to make advanced analytics, generative AI, and business intelligence intuitive, trustworthy, and actionable for both technical and non‑technical users.
As a Product Designer focused on AI/BI experiences, you won’t just design dashboards or workflows. You’ll design how humans and AI think together.
You’ll help define what it feels like to ask a question of your company’s data in plain language—and receive an answer you can trust. You’ll shape how insights are generated, explained, challenged, and shared. You’ll craft the bridge between complex AI systems and real human decisions.
Impact you will have
Reimagine how users explore data using natural language and AI assistance
Design interactions that make AI‑generated insights transparent and trustworthy
Create experiences that move from exploration → validation → action in minutes
Enable collaboration between data engineers, analysts, and business leaders
Help define new design patterns for AI‑native enterprise software
Influence long‑term AI/BI strategy, contributing to how Databricks differentiates in the modern analytics landscape.

5+ years of product design work experience.
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with specialization in HCI, Interaction Design, graphic design, computer science, or related disciplines.

Experience shipping great digital products. A designer’s involvement never stops; you should be comfortable overseeing and impacting the entire process from idea to GA.
Demonstrated ability to lead large and complex design projects and balance the needs of diverse stakeholders.
Execution of beautiful visual and interaction work rooted in a data‑driven and well‑researched UX process.
A system thinker with the vision to design the big picture and the tactical ability to break it down for engineering.
A unique combination of technical knowledge and visual design skills to design powerful and intuitive engineering tooling.
A portfolio showcasing the end‑to‑end design process.
