We are currently supporting a client in the implementation phase of
Polarion as their central requirements engineering tool
and are looking for an experienced
Senior Polarion Consultant (freelance)
to support a focused engagement starting April 2025.
The client is a technically-driven organization introducing Polarion for structured requirements elicitation, reuse management, and reporting best practices. The internal team consists of experienced requirements engineers. The freelancer will provide both strategic advisory and hands‑on configuration support.

Remote (1 potential on‑site day at project start for alignment)
Language:
English required (German not mandatory)
Tasks
Define and align the scope focused on stakeholder requirement elicitation including LTRs and applicable standards.
Identify key stakeholders and establish corresponding user roles and access rights within Polarion.
Coordinate IT setup including environment readiness and SSO integration.
Configure the initial Polarion setup based on an automotive V-cycle including requirements workflows and traceability.
Establish a suitable project structure and branching strategy for LTR, NIS, and customer standards.
Design and implement a scalable requirements reuse concept across projects.
Create and configure required document and LiveDoc templates including compliance matrix and deviation lists.
Customize workflows, linksets, user groups, views, and landing page according to OESL needs.
Set up basic reporting, traceability views, and KPI dashboards.
Conduct a trial import of DV/PV test specifications with traceability and deliver admin and trainer training sessions.
Requirements
3+ Polarion implementation projects
Experience in automotive V-cycle environments
Combination of architecture thinking and operational execution
Strong expertise in requirements workflows and traceability
Experience with reuse/branching strategies in Polarion
Hands‑on configuration skills (templates, workflows, roles, reporting)
Experience delivering tool training (admin & end‑user level)
Strong communication skills in remote setup
Fluent English
Nice to have:
Experience in regulated environments
Background in systems or requirements engineering
Experience with compliance-driven reporting
