Key Relationships
The Sales Strategy Manager reports to the Sr. Director of Sales and partners closely with several key functions across the business, including Sales, Finance, Marketing, Production and Operations. Leadership, SLT and other internal stakeholders.
This individual serves as a strategic business partner, operating cross functionally, to the Sales organization, providing data-driven insights to support planning, forecasting, pricing, distribution, and trade investment decisions.
THE OPPORTUNITY The Sales Strategy Manager plays a critical role in supporting Dr. Schar’s growth strategy by transforming syndicated and internal data into actionable insights that drive profitable sales growth.
This position is responsible for sales analytics, forecasting accuracy, trade optimization, and performance reporting. This role provides visibility across customers and channels and contributes directly to strategic decision-making.
The Sales Strategy Manager will enhance decision-making through advanced analytics, improve planning processes, and identify opportunities to optimize investments and accelerate category growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with the Sr. Director of Sales and Regional Sales Managers to define and execute strategic priorities.
Support annual business planning by providing analytical insights, forecasting models, and growth recommendations.
Interface with Finance to align on trade spending, forecasting assumptions, margin analysis, and budget performance.
Develop and maintain dashboards and standardized reporting tools to track sales performance, trade spending, pricing, and distribution.
Analyze syndicated data (SPINS, Nielsen, IRI) and internal sales data to identify performance drivers and category opportunities.
Evaluate promotional effectiveness and pricing strategies to maximize ROI and profitability.
Manage sales forecasting models and collaborate with Logistics to improve demand planning accuracy.
Assist in identifying whitespace opportunities, emerging market trends, and new distribution targets within gluten-free and better-for-you categories.
Support trade fund allocation analysis and profitability reporting by customer, channel, and product.
Assist in executive-level presentations, quarterly reviews, and customer business updates.
Identify process improvements that enhance planning efficiency and reporting accuracy.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & IN-OFFICE EXPECTATIONS
Expected to work a minimum of 3 days in the office per our policy and additional days as business needs or upon managers’ discretion.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
Occasional travel as business needs required (20%).

QUALIFICATIONS The successful candidate will possess:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred).
5-7+ years of experience in sales analytics, category management, commercial planning, or CPG strategy.
Experience working with syndicated data platforms (Nielsen, SPINS, IRI).
Experience working with retailer portals to analyze sales performance, inventory trends and promotional effectiveness.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, modeling, advanced formulas).
Strong PowerPoint skills with ability to build executive-ready presentations.
Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
Strong financial acumen and understanding of trade spend, ROI, and margin analysis.
Exceptional analytical, communication, and storytelling skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
High attention to detail and strong business acumen.
