Responsibilities In this role you will sell a diverse range of Datacom Structured Cabling and Security Solutions servicing primarily the commercial construction market. You will also:
Provide superior customer service by delivering products and services that exceed customer expectations
Process orders to completion and expedite delivery whenever necessary
Liaise with outside sales and internal teams to support execution of key activities
Provide sales support for field sales representatives
Ensure outside sales are provided with up‑to‑date information and developments regarding common customer accounts
Actively participate in developing new accounts: build and generate quotations, manage customer inquiries, and coordinate datacom/security projects
Work effectively in a team environment collaborating with Outside Sales and Datacom Management on quotation strategies, project management, and customer service
Build strong customer relationships, driving value and loyalty
Engage Nedco resources and personnel regularly to provide complete customer solutions and capitalize on opportunities
Qualifications
BA or Post‑Secondary preferred
1–2 years experience in sales/sales administration, preferably in Distribution and/or Datacom/Electrical
Proven ability to communicate effectively and build customer relationships
Product and industry knowledge (Datacom and/or Electrical)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Confident and determined approach; resilience and ability to cope with rejection
Self‑motivation and drive
Experience working with Datacom/Electrical Contractors
Strong organizational skills and ability to re‑prioritize based on changing internal/external requests and opportunities
Team‑oriented, able to identify and resolve problems collaboratively
Strong multitasking and time management skills
Computer proficiency in a Windows environment, specifically Excel
