Overview The Account Manager oversees all interactions with the customer and keeps them informed as to all aspects of the maintenance and enhancement process. This includes the initial contact with the client, preparing and presenting the proposal documents and contract, completing the sale, coordinating with company production and accounting personnel, and coordinating with subcontractors and vendors as required throughout the maintenance process. This position is responsible for conducting monthly walk-throughs with their clients, resolving any issues discovered, following through to ensure that all issues are resolved to the satisfaction of the client, and ensuring all change orders/enhancements are billed properly.

Skill set and educational requirements

Minimum three years of combined residential landscape maintenance production and sales experience

An associate’s degree (preferably in the green industry) or equivalent in experience

Valid driver’s license and must be insurable on the company’s insurance policy

Possess excellent written and oral communication skills

Proficient in MS office suite and Google suite

Experienced with utilizing CRM software, experience with Hubspot a plus

Experienced and comfortable with making effective presentations to clients

Able to represent the company in a courteous and professional manner at all times

Duties/Responsibilities

Makes the initial contact with the client and takes all required measurements.

Ensures that vendor pricing is competitive and accurate as bid.

Regularly utilize and maintain a sales pipeline within a CRM system.

Prepares all bids and contracts and presents all proposals/documents to clients.

Closes sales and coordinates job specifics with accounting personnel.

Coordinates job specifics with the operations team, monitoring performance, job starts and final walkthroughs.

Interfaces with the operations team to ensure client’s expectations are met and that jobs are kept on schedule and budget.

Conducts monthly walk-throughs with clients, identifies and documents any/all discrepancies.

Processes all change orders/enhancements and ensures that they are priced and processed correctly.

Ensures that job costs reports are properly analyzed and disseminated.

Sales of $500,000-$1,000,000 of residential maintenance projects, design/build, or enhancement projects annually while maintaining and/or building a $700,000 to $1,000,000 book of recurring revenue clients annually.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
