Senior Enterprise SEO Strategist
TriMark Digital, Raleigh, North Carolina, United States, 27601
Overview
We’re looking for a strategic, forward-thinking Senior Enterprise SEO Strategist to lead organic search growth across large, complex websites and digital ecosystems. This role goes beyond traditional keyword rankings — you’ll architect enterprise-level SEO and GEO strategy while evolving our approach to AI-driven search, including generative search experiences, large language model (LLM) visibility, and emerging search platforms. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with content, development, analytics, paid media, and leadership teams to drive scalable, measurable organic growth that aligns with broader business objectives.
This is a modern SEO / GEO leadership role for someone who blends technical depth with a sharp understanding of why, how, and when people search — and how to turn intent into real connections with high-value customers.
Responsibilities
Develop and lead enterprise-level SEO strategies across large, multi-location or multi-brand websites
Own technical SEO initiatives including site architecture, crawl optimization, indexing strategy, internal linking, schema markup, and Core Web Vitals
Conduct in-depth audits (technical, content, competitive, and authority-based) and translate findings into prioritized roadmaps
Partner with engineering teams to scope, test, and implement SEO-driven development initiatives
Build scalable content strategies informed by search intent, topic clustering, entity optimization, and SERP analysis
Lead AI search optimization strategy, including:
Optimization for AI Overviews and generative search results; LLM visibility (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity)
Structured data and entity-based optimization
Brand authority and citation strategies for AI-generated responses
Analyze and report on performance using GA4, Google Search Console, log files, and third-party SEO platforms
Identify emerging search trends (zero-click search, voice search, multimodal search, AI assistants) and proactively test new approaches
Develop SEO forecasting models and quantify impact of organic initiatives
Collaborate with paid media teams to align SEO and SEM strategies for full SERP coverage
Present insights, strategies, and results to executive stakeholders and clients
Mentor junior SEO team members and contribute to process development and documentation
Requirements
8+ years of experience in SEO, with at least 2–3 years in enterprise or large-scale environments
Proven experience leading technical SEO strategy for complex websites (100K+ pages, multi-location, or multi-domain environments preferred)
Deep understanding of modern search algorithms, ranking systems, and entity-based search
Experience with AI-driven search optimization, including generative search platforms and LLM visibility strategies
Strong technical knowledge: HTML, JavaScript SEO, schema markup, log file analysis, site migrations, and crawl management
Advanced proficiency with SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, BrightEdge, Conductor, etc.)
Strong analytics skills with GA4, Google Search Console, Looker Studio, and Excel/Sheets
Experience building content frameworks aligned to search intent and topic authority
Ability to translate complex SEO concepts into clear business impact
Strategic thinker with strong prioritization and project management skills
Experience working cross-functionally with developers, designers, content teams, and executives
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
