Position Summary Under the Communications Specialist is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing enterprise-wide and regional communication strategies and initiatives. This role supports both internal and external corporate communications, ensuring alignment with company values, objectives, and overall business strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Manage relations indications across multiple channels, serving as a primary liaison for media relations, and representing the company on councils and committees.
Manage all customer communications, including bill inserts, websites, and related mailings.
Manage all internal and external corporate communications, ensuring consistency in messaging across multiple platforms while aligning with company values and business objectives.
Assist in the communication of strategies or messages from senior leadership.
Support the development of a communication plan for customer solutions tools like Everbridge, WaterSmart, and Invoice Cloud to improve customer satisfaction.
Manage the processing and payment of invoices related to communication projects and services, ensuring timely and accurate handling in accordance with company policies and budgetary guidelines.
Support employee internal communications (Snapcomms and Straight Talk) by working with departmental subject experts to obtain.
Serve as a representative of the Company on internal and external councils and committees, fostering collaboration and advocating for corporate interests and strategic goals.
Manage external communications (e.g., customer, website, social media, printed content).
Collaborate with marketing and agencies to produce copy for advertisements or articles.
Collaborate with company-wide communication leadership teams to implement enterprise-wide projects or initiatives.
Create informational, educational, and/or promotional materials, both print and electronic.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Previous experience as a communications specialist for at least 3 years.
Experience in web design and content production.
Experience in copywriting and editing.
Solid understanding of project management principles.
Knowledge of MS Office suite; photo and video-editing software.
Excellent communication (oral and written).
Outstanding organizational and planning abilities.
Proficient command of English.
Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
Required Education and Experience A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Communications, Public Relations, English, Journalism, or relevant field.
