We are seeking a detail-oriented and revenue-driven

Group Sales & Inventory Manager

focused on generating and managing small-to-medium group and event business within assigned market segments. This role is responsible for prospecting, negotiating, and closing group opportunities in alignment with the hotel’s business plan to meet or exceed rooms revenue goals. In addition to direct sales responsibilities, this position plays a key role in supporting group inventory strategy by building and managing group blocks from contract turnover through final pickup. The role bridges Sales and Operations, ensuring inventory is accurately loaded in the PMS/CRS, actively monitored, and balanced to optimize occupancy and revenue. The ideal candidate combines strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills with operational precision and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative hotel environment. Key Responsibilities

Prospect, solicit, and close small-to-medium group and event business within assigned market segments to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals. Issue, review, and negotiate group contracts to maximize rooms and catering revenue while protecting hotel profitability. Build, load, and maintain accurate group blocks in PMS/CRS systems in accordance with contracted terms. Monitor pickup, pace, and wash to recommend block adjustments. Manage cut-off dates, block releases, and audit group blocks regularly to ensure accuracy in rates, room types, and concessions. Upload and reconcile rooming lists, process revisions, and ensure all group details are accurately reflected in hotel systems. Manage changes, substitutions, and last-minute revisions. Conduct site inspections and maintain consistent communication with clients from initial inquiry through departure. Coordinate internally with Front Office, Revenue Management, and Operations to ensure seamless group execution. Provide exceptional guest service while maintaining strong interdepartmental relationships. Be available to work evenings and weekends as business demands require. Other Requirements

Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple group accounts simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in hotel PMS/CRS and sales systems preferred. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments to support group inventory strategy. Follow all company safety, security, and quality assurance policies and procedures. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets and guest privacy. Develop and maintain positive working relationships to support team and property goals. Ensure a professional appearance, a clean uniform, and adherence to other company appearance standards. Qualifications

3+ years of hotel group sales, reservations, or group housing experience. Strong working knowledge of PMS/CRS systems (e.g., Opera). Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple groups simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Understanding of revenue management principles preferred.
