About this Role Root Capital is seeking an Account Associate for Partnerships to support its strategic engagement with public sector funders and allied organizations. This role will assist the Director of Multi Stakeholder Partnerships to develop meaningful partnerships, leveraging Root Capital’s influence among bilateral and multilateral entities. The position requires strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in data management and analysis. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, supporting the organization’s mission of promoting inclusive and sustainable economic development. The Account Associate will facilitate seamless communication both internally and with external partners, playing a crucial role in aligning partnership development processes. The role involves a blend of administrative and strategic tasks, including the production of high-quality interaction materials, and the coordination of data integrity related to public funders. This position offers a unique opportunity for aspiring professionals interested in international development and impact investing, with potential travel to client sites in rural areas.

Responsibilities

Research, monitor, and analyze trends in public resource mobilization.

Develop profiles of potential funders and partnership opportunities.

Collaborate with the Director to execute partnership strategies.

Manage data entry and tracking in Salesforce and other platforms.

Prepare materials for meetings and follow-up on noted tasks.

Coordinate internal approval processes for proposals and reports.

Serve as a liaison with various departments to enhance communication.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience in account or project management or administrative support in a fundraising office or nonprofit setting.

Knowledge of multi-sector partnerships and an understanding of the associated challenges.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.

Proven ability to manage projects independently and meet tight deadlines.

Proficiency in CRM databases, such as Salesforce.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data.

Experience in remote work and multicultural environments.
