The
Account Manager (AM)
plays a crucial role as the bridge between the agency and our clients. They act as the point person responsible for managing client relationships and ensuring client needs and expectations are understood.
The AM serves as the day‑to‑day agency representative for multiple accounts, maintaining clear, highly responsive client communication. They should be well‑versed in both the client’s business and the agency’s business, becoming a trusted advisor and advocate for both brands.

Business Development for the Agency
Key Responsibilities (Account Management)
Provide strategic guidance to clients by understanding their goals and challenges, helping produce successful marketing programs.
Oversee the implementation of approved marketing initiatives, ensuring quality and timely execution.
Assist in developing comprehensive client proposals, marketing communication strategies, media plans, and other strategic documents.
Manage daily operations for assigned client accounts to ensure smooth and efficient execution.
Respond promptly and professionally to client communications (phone, email, Zoom, etc.), ensuring all inquiries are addressed in a timely manner.
Document and distribute Client Contact Reports following meetings and ensure Client Change Orders are relayed accurately and quickly to internal team members.
Present, advocate for, and defend agency work and proposals to clients, providing support to various internal and external team members as needed.
Review and approve creative materials, copy, layouts, and production art, facilitating client approval when appropriate.
Coordinate project timelines and budgets with agency personnel, ensuring alignment with client expectations and account/brand resources.
Proactively identify opportunities for additional projects or new business with existing accounts to strengthen client relationships.
Alert leadership immediately to potential issues (e.g., client relations challenges, budget discrepancies) to ensure quick resolution.
Key Responsibilities (New Business Development/Account Sales)
Research and identify prospective clients or markets that could benefit from the agency’s services, including through cold outreach, networking, industry events, and referrals.
Initiate conversations and build relationships with prospective clients, maintaining timely communication and follow‑ups through a CRM system or other tool.
Lead contract negotiations with prospects to ensure terms are mutually beneficial.
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and client needs to identify new opportunities for the agency.
Represent the agency at occasional industry and community events.
Qualifications & Experience
Min. 8 years of experience in an advertising, marketing, or account management related position
Agency experience preferred but not required
Strong understanding of marketing, branding, & digital advertising programs
Experience in agency pitching & proposal development
Salary & PTO package is negotiable based on experience
Flex Fridays (half days)
Hybrid role with a convenient downtown office
