Account Manager

Salary details:
£37,000 - £43,000 (depending on experience)

The Role The Account Manager plays a central role in managing day-to-day client relationships and delivering high-quality public affairs and communications work. They are responsible for translating strategy into execution, coordinating teams, and ensuring work is delivered accurately, on time, and to a high standard.
This role requires someone with experience working on projects relating to Saudi Arabia and ideally Arabic speaking.
This role suits someone who is confident managing clients, highly organised, politically and media-literate, and comfortable working across multiple accounts in a fast-paced agency environment.
Key Responsibilities Client Management
Act as the main day-to-day contact for assigned clients
Build strong, trusted client relationships through responsive and thoughtful communication
Manage client expectations and ensure clarity on scope, timelines, and deliverables
Account Delivery
Support the development and delivery of public affairs and PR campaigns
Draft and edit high-quality written materials (briefings, media lines, stakeholder materials, position papers, op-eds, presentations)
Coordinate internal teams and external partners to deliver agreed outputs
Track progress against plans, timelines, and budgets
Public Affairs & Communications
Monitor political, policy, media, and stakeholder developments relevant to clients
Support media engagement, stakeholder outreach, and advocacy activity
Conduct research and analysis to inform strategy and messaging
Help translate complex policy or political issues into clear communications
Agency Contribution
Support junior team members where appropriate / line manage interns
Contribute ideas and insights to account planning and new business discussions
Uphold agency standards, processes, and culture
Lead and deliver integrated public affairs, media relations and strategic communications campaigns
About You We are looking for someone who is intellectually curious, confident and ambitious, with strong political and media instincts. You will ideally have:
At least
three years’ experience
in public affairs, strategic communications or media relations, ideally in an agency environment
Proven experience leading accounts and delivering results for clients
Strong media relations experience, either agency-side or in-house
A solid understanding of UK Government, Parliament and political processes (with additional experience of devolved or local government welcomed)
A genuine interest in UK and international politics and the media landscape, with a strong grasp of the news cycle
Experience contributing to new business development, including proposals and pitches
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Confidence presenting, advising clients and handling sensitive or high-pressure situations
The ability to manage multiple priorities while remaining calm and organized
