Salary Range $55,500 - $76,250 at 217 working days
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Texas Peace Officer License issued by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE).
Valid Texas driver's license.
Special Knowledge and Skills
Direct the daily operations of the district police department to ensure effective law enforcement.
Advanced knowledge of overall operations of a police department.
Advanced knowledge of criminal investigations, police report writing, and criminal law.
Ability to manage budget and personnel.
Training and ability to subdue offenders, including use of firearms and handcuffs.
Bondable as required by Texas Education Code 37.081.
Ability to pass required physical, psychiatric, and drug tests.
Ability to work with youths and adults.
Strong communication, public relations, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Experience Background in law enforcement or related work experience.
