Overview The Bridges Golf & Country Club, located in Montrose, Colorado, is seeking energetic and service oriented candidates to join our team as an Assistant Golf Professional. The Bridges is a semi‑private facility located on the western slope of the Rocky Mountains between Grand Junction, Telluride and close to the High Country of Crested Butte, Aspen and Breckenridge. The club opened in 2005 and the course was designed by the Nicklaus Design Group. We have a robust and growing membership, a diverse tournament schedule and an eager group of golfers that want to learn how to play better and is not afraid to invest in the properly fitted equipment for their game.

This position is expected to support all aspects of the golf operation under the guidance of the Head Professional including, but not limited to daily play management, tournament operations, merchandising, instructional programming, and overall customer service. The ideal candidate is proactive when it comes to delivering the ultimate golf experience for our members, their guests, and the public clients. They are highly self‑motivated and is passionate about the game of golf and growing a career as a PGA member.

Experience Required

High school diploma, preferably some university

Some experience in the golf industry

Level 1 Associate in the PGA

Essential Responsibilities Core Responsibilities

Assist with daily golf operations, including opening and closing procedures

Manage tee sheets, check in players, and inform golfers of the conditions of play for the day

Act as a player assistant to ensure the best experience for the players, monitor pace of play, and ensure compliance by all players to the cart rules for the day

Assist in executing member tournaments, weekly leagues, and outside golf events

Assist with merchandising, inventory control, building displays, and conducting retail promotions

Use the "inform, then enforce" policy to ensure course rules and safety policies are followed

Work with all other departments of the club to ensure an excellent golf experience for our members and guests

Learn to conduct all varieties of instructional programs to all demographic categories

Learn to perform a club fitting and how to tie together the instruction and fitting aspects of improving players' game

Represent the club and themselves in a professional manner both on and off the course

Begin and/or continue the process of becoming a PGA member in the allotted time set forth by the PGA of America
