About the job Google’s Interaction Designers take complex tasks and make them intuitive and easy-to-use for billions of people worldwide. Throughout the design process—from creating user flows and wireframes to building user interface mockups and prototypes—you’ll visualize how people will experience our products and bring that vision to life in a way that feels inspired, refined, and even magical.

Google User Experience (UX) is made up of multidisciplinary teams: UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers. The UX team gathers insights about the attitudes, emotions, and behaviors of people who use our products to inspire and inform design. We collaborate closely with engineering and product management to create industry-leading products that deliver value for users and for Google’s businesses.

As an Interaction Designer, you’ll use user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading experiences—from concept to execution. You’ll collaborate with design partners to leverage and evolve Google’s design language to build beautiful, innovative products that people love to use.

Help drive the development of Flow, an AI-native creation platform within Google Labs. As a member of our agile team, you will play a key role in evolving the flagship ecosystem for Google’s foundational generative models, including Veo, Imagen, and Nano Banana. Google Labs incubates early‑stage efforts to advance our core products through exploration and application of new technologies, building solutions that can transform how users interact with Google and drive long‑term innovation.

Responsibilities

Partner closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to lead high‑quality design efforts from initial concept development through to final execution.

Develop wireframes, high‑fidelity visual designs, and rapid prototypes to communicate user journeys and key decision points.

Translate generative model capabilities (such as Veo and Imagen) into intuitive, professional‑grade tools that bridge the gap between raw model output and human intent.

Constantly gather user insights and leverage UX research to explore, pivot, and iterate on early‑stage products.

Drive work independently toward key milestones while effectively managing time, priorities, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
