
We are looking for a wildly creative trend-obsessed Social Creator (who also loves science) to help manage and shape our brand across social platforms. In this full-time position you will concept, shoot, edit and write content that captures the joy of science and the fun of hands-on learning for everyone. If you are a self-starter, love storytelling and connecting with people, this position is for you. You will work closely with (and report to) the Marketing Director to bring big ideas to life.
Responsibilities
Create high quality content for social platforms- TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram that tells our story, builds our brand and engages audiences and drives followers.
Create, maintain and execute a strategically driven content calendar across all social media platforms and execute the day-to-day process of scheduling and posting
Conceptualize, produce and edit captivating visuals and innovative content for multiple social media platforms ensuring it aligns with brand guidelines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, creative, programs and experience to develop content that effectively communicates key messages in a timely manner.
Stay up-to-date on video and photography for keep content engaging and fresh.
Engage with social media audiences and influencers to build brand awareness, generate leads, and increase online presence.
Real-time monitoring of social channels to identify strategic opportunities, provide insights to help guide creative teams, and flag potential issues.
Able to pivot quickly to produce fast-turn content for emerging trends.
Requirements
1-2 years in social media marketing; degree in social/digital media or communications preferred not required.
Highly motivated, creatively driven content specialist who can elevate the quality, storytelling and energy of our social media presence.
A hands-on creator who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys being in the field and knows how to capture and produce high-impact video AND photo content.
Proficient in video editing software, graphic design and photography equipment.
Flexibility of hours – must be able to work occasional evenings, weekends and holidays
Demonstrated experience developing social media campaigns and how to optimize/tailor video to various platforms
Excellent written and verbal skills
Must have a reliable vehicle
Passionate about learning and having fun.
Science knowledge a plus.
