Head of Creative Strategy This is a key role in delivering on OK COOL’s mission to humanize brands and connect them to culture through smart, social-first thinking. As a
Senior Strategist , you’ll independently lead the development of strategic thinking across brand, campaign, and always-on work. You’ll uncover sharp audience insights, build clear frameworks, and translate cultural intelligence into inspiring creative direction. You’ll act as a trusted strategic partner to Creative, Influencer, Production, and Client teams—driving clarity, elevating briefs, and ensuring our work is rooted in culture and built for the platform. You are culturally fluent, analytically sharp, and confident in owning strategy workstreams from start to finish. You bring rigor, perspective, and strong storytelling craft to every engagement. Key responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
Lead the development of social-first strategy across brand, campaign, and always-on engagements Own strategic workstreams independently, from research through presentation Build clear frameworks that connect audience insight to creative opportunity
Ensure strategy is rooted in platform behavior, cultural relevance, and business objectives Insight Development & Narrative Craft
Uncover and articulate compelling human truths and cultural insights Synthesize audience research, social listening, and performance data into clear points of view Develop inspiring creative briefs and strategic narratives that shape strong creative output Translate complexity into clarity for both internal teams and clients Creative Partnership
Collaborate closely with Creative and Influencer teams during ideation and execution Push ideas strategically while protecting creative ambition Provide thoughtful feedback that strengthens alignment between strategy and creative Client Engagement
Confidently present strategy, insights, and recommendations in client settings Support workshops, planning sessions, and campaign reviews Act as a strategic voice in conversations around direction, pivots, and performance Culture & Platform Intelligence
Stay ahead of cultural moments, platform shifts, and emerging behaviors Proactively share insights and POVs that elevate team thinking Identify opportunities for brands to authentically participate in culture Growth & Pitch Support
Contribute meaningfully to new business through research, positioning, and strategic storytelling Support senior strategy leadership in shaping responses and presentations Relevant experience & required skills:
5–7+ years of experience in strategy, insights, or planning within a creative, digital, or social agency Strong understanding of social platforms and how culture manifests differently across them Proven ability to lead strategy development for brand or campaign work Excellent storytelling and deck-writing skills Strong research, synthesis, and analytical abilities Experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced creative environments Confident presenter with the ability to defend and evolve thinking Passion for culture, creativity, and building work that lives and breathes online What’s in it for you:
