Sr Marketing Coordinator Contract type: Freelance

Location: Irvine, CA

Our client is looking for a Sr Marketing Coordinator to join their team. This freelance position supports day‑to‑day marketing needs for a multi‑center retail portfolio, working closely with senior marketing leadership to execute annual plans and key initiatives. This will be onsite in Irvine.

Responsibilities

Coordinate ongoing marketing services for tenants, including new tenant launches, window graphics, posters, emails, web banners, and directory/event listings.

Support cross‑promotions with office, residential, and community partners; assist in planning and executing events, programs, and community partnerships.

Collaborate with internal teams (management, leasing, tenant coordination, design, marketing) and attend meetings to identify and support synergy opportunities.

Assist with redevelopment signage (signs, banners, barricades) and maintain tenant open/close and contact trackers.

Build decks, one‑sheets, recaps, and other marketing collateral using presentation and basic design tools.

Lead social media campaign coordination, including content collection, basic performance tracking, and holiday/seasonal promotions.

Coordinate production of neighborhood or center‑focused publications and newsletters with vendors and tenants.

Develop and maintain merchant relationships; provide basic marketing guidance and exposure for new or priority tenants.

Maintain image libraries and support photography needs for marketing projects.

Manage website event and merchant listings, ensuring accurate suites, content, and contact information.

Oversee email campaign logistics, gather assets, route for approvals, and track performance metrics.

Support partnership efforts with nearby properties and businesses to drive traffic and sales.

Assist with marketing budget tracking, PO creation, invoice processing, and vendor setup.

Help coordinate workload and tasks for seasonal or temporary marketing staff as needed.

Qualifications

5–7 years of marketing experience, preferably in retail, real estate, or consumer‑focused environments.

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.

Strong writing, editing, and communication skills; comfortable presenting to groups.

Proficiency with Google Slides/Sheets and basic Photoshop or similar design tools.

Ability to translate strategic objectives into clear campaigns and collateral.

Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Experience with digital marketing channels, email platforms, and social media.

Proven ability to collaborate across teams and build relationships at all levels.

Strong problem‑solving skills, sound judgment, and a self‑starter mindset in a fast‑paced environment.
