The Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (PRS) will ******* direct peer-to-peer ******* services ** individuals who **** substance abuse or co-********* disorders. As an ******** for patients, the Certified Peer ******** Specialist will be responsible *** providing ********* expertise and consultation ** the ****** multidisciplinary ********* **** to promote a culture in which **** individual's treatment ***** and *********** are recognized, understood, respected, and integrated into treatment, rehabilitation, and ********* self-help activities. The Certified Peer Recovery Specialist **** **** from his/her ******* of recovery to inspire hope and provide support to others who are facing similar situations.

Essential Functions

******* ******** ** developing problem-solving skills to respond to challenging experiences ** ***** recovery

Models effective coping and self-help strategies and techniques to individuals or groups of patients ** overcome ******** fears, anxieties, urges, *** triggers

Assists/supports ******** in daily ******** making, resolution of minor problems, and crisis intervention as necessary

Assists ******** in identifying their personal goals *** objectives for recovery and sobriety

Assists clinic staff in a ************* ******* ** identifying ******** and ************ that are conducive to recovery

Assists patients ** creating their personal recovery plans

Meets with ******** ** provide advice and support in accordance **** treatment plans

Assists/coordinates ******* support ****** on a regular basis

Assists patients ** obtaining and utilizing clinic-***** *** community-based services that support ********** ******** needs

******* ******** by identifying community resources and encouraging participation, ** engage in healthy social activities, ********** opportunities or provide other ********** as needed

Observes behaviors *** evidence of general well-being and discusses observations **** the patient

Assists patients in ********** empowerment skills ******* self-advocacy

Ensures timely and appropriate documentation as ******** by company, state, and federal policy

Essential Requirements
