What You’ll Do
Provide fleet-wide strategic leadership and cross-functional collaboration to drive operational excellence across remodels, new construction, maintenance of existing properties, and other property initiatives.
Lead strategic planning, budgeting, and execution of all Facilities-related initiatives in partnership with internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy.
Direct and oversee nationwide construction and renovation activities, managing external contractors, architects, engineers, and vendors to deliver high-quality, cost-effective outcomes.
Develop, manage and maintain capital appropriation plans and budgets for all owned and leased properties, ensuring projects are approved, funded, on time, and within budget.
Establish and enforce facility standards for plasma centers that maximize durability, standardization and functionality and long-term cost efficiency through value engineering.
Lead, develop, and optimize Construction Management department, including operating model, organizational structure, role clarity and job descriptions.
Drive team performance and accountability, including KPI achievement, project and work order completions, cost control, schedule adherence, and overall execution quality.
Provide people leadership and talent development, including performance management, goal setting, leadership development, coaching, succession planning, and partnership with HR on talent acquisition.
Supervise vendor operations and service delivery across all locations, including corporate offices, donor centers, laboratories, and warehouses, encompassing security, maintenance, life‑safety systems (sprinkler and fire extinguishers), lighting, plumbing, and recycling services.
Deliver executive-level reporting and governance, providing monthly reports on project updates, costs, productivity/accomplishments, incidents and operational performance.
Ensure compliance, risk management, and business continuity, including safety (OSHA/corporate), EPA requirements, lease contract administration, incident investigation, and disaster recovery planning.
Participate in the Octapharma Plasma’s Safety Committee and coordinate safety management activity along with the human resources department on OSHA compliance, hazard analysis, MSDS management, job safety analysis, personal protective equipment management, training and safety inspections.
Act as the emergency services contact in local and national emergencies.
Chemical hazardous & non-hazardous waste vendor management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What It Takes
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or another related field.
Five (5) years’ work experience in Engineering, Construction, Commercial Real Estate transactions and Project Management.
Experience overseeing annual budgets of approximately $15M.
Physical Requirements
Position works in-office at the corporate location.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to use a computer and other office equipment.
Ability to lift, tug, pull up to fifty (50) pounds.
Ability to reach, bend, and stoop as necessary.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to focus and concentrate on tasks for extended periods.
Ability to navigate the office environment safely, including stairs and elevators (if applicable).
Ability to travel up to 30% via airplane or vehicle (if applicable).
Ability to use assistive devices if needed for mobility or communication.
