Founding Software Engineer (UX/UI & Systems) - Top 10 Robotics/Hard Tech Startup - Manhattan, NYC - $350k Cash + Founding Equity
We’re hiring for one of NYC’s top 10 robotics startups. If you’re an elite engineer looking to join a high-density "A" squad - builders from SpaceX, Google, Palantir & Anduril - this is where you want to be.
Must be based in NYC & role requires US citizenship due to regulatory constraints.
This isn't another abstracted B2B platform or a data-entry dashboard. These guys have fleets of multi-ton autonomous machines deployed globally & we’re hiring Founding Software Engineers to build the operating system & interface that controls them.
The Team You will be joining an A squad*-a high-density group of builders from SpaceX, Palantir, Tesla & Google. We avoid typical corporate friction & process for the sake of process. We hire for high agency, technical depth, & a total lack of ego. As a founding hire, you won't just follow a roadmap-you will define it.
High Autonomy, no micromanagement. You will have the autonomy to own the entire frontend stack from architecture to shipping. You are the bridge between complex robotics telemetry & intuitive operational tools.
Mission Control:
Architecting the UI that handles high-frequency telemetry, 3D spatial data, & real-time fleet management.
Founding Ownership:
You choose the tools, define the architecture, & own the deployment pipeline.
Real Stakes:
You’ll work closely with hardware engineers to ensure our interfaces are as reliable as the machines they control. In this environment, a laggy interface or a confusing UI has real-world consequences.
What we're looking for Seeking high-signal engineers (we don't care about schools, we care about your aptitude to problem solving) who have seen what to build the best again & again.
Mastery of TypeScript & React:
You understand the internals & how to build for extreme performance & low latency.
Founding Mindset:
You are comfortable with ambiguity & have a bias toward building simple, robust solutions that scale.
High-Signal Pedigree:
You’ve shipped production systems in high-bar environments (SpaceX, Tesla, or similar elite squads).
Product Sense:
You understand how to translate complex system states into intuitive, rock-solid operational tools.
