We are actively seeking an
experienced Heavy Civil Estimator
to support a strong and growing project pipeline across Colorado. This role is ideal for estimators with a background in large-scale infrastructure projects including roadway, bridge, excavation, utilities, and site development. The right candidate will play a critical role in securing high-value projects by developing accurate cost estimates, analyzing risk, and collaborating closely with operations and leadership teams. Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects
Analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents
Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
Identify project risks and value engineering opportunities
Partner with Project Managers and field leadership during preconstruction
Support competitive bid strategies
Qualifications
5+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction
Background with DOT, municipal, roadway, bridge, grading, or utility projects strongly preferred
Experience working for mid-to-large civil contractors highly desired (Kiewit, Ames, Granite, Flatiron, etc.)
Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and cost structures
Proficiency with estimating software and digital takeoff tools
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $110K - $150K (depending on experience)
