About the Role

The Company is in search of an Executive Director to lead its mission of supporting survivors of gender-based violence and human trafficking. The successful candidate will be a heart-centered, strategically-minded leader with a deep commitment to survivor-centered, trauma-informed practices. This pivotal role involves guiding the organization's strategic direction, leading fundraising efforts, and strengthening its position as a movement leader in the anti-violence ecosystem. The Executive Director will be responsible for setting and implementing the organizational vision, ensuring financial sustainability, and fostering a culture of collective leadership and staff well-being. They will also be expected to engage in community power and movement building, centering the voices of those most impacted by violence in decision-making, and serving as a compelling ambassador for the organization's work.

The ideal Executive Director for the company will have a strong background in nonprofit leadership, with experience in strategic planning, financial management, and people management. They should be a confident and experienced fundraiser, capable of securing diverse, values-aligned funding streams. The role requires a leader who is a dynamic, compelling ambassador, and who can effectively mobilize support from various stakeholders. A clear, decisive, and accountable leadership style is essential, as is the ability to navigate complex, volatile political climates while maintaining a focus on the organization's values and mission. The candidate should be a collaborative and relational leader, with a proven track record of cultivating a joyful and accountable workplace culture, and a commitment to equity, justice, and the principles of collective care and staff wellness.
