
About The Position
As a Senior Lighting Associate at Power Design Resources (PDR), you will leverage your growing expertise to deliver exceptional lighting solutions for large-scale, multi-phase projects. In this role, you will combine your technical knowledge, customer service skills, and attention to detail to develop accurate, code‑compliant lighting packages and support client relationships through all stages of design and delivery. This position is located at our corporate headquarters in St. Petersburg, Florida, where you will work collaboratively with the Estimating, Operations, and Engineering teams to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
Position Responsibilities
Deliver accurate, competitive, and timely quotes that align with defined project budgets
Develop detailed bills of materials and fixture schedules for lighting packages
Review and update project documents, submittals, and correspondence
Negotiate fixture packages in adherence with departmental standards and best practices
Support project handoffs and collaboration with the Lighting Operations team
Maintain a strong understanding of lighting codes, compliance requirements, and safety best practices
Collaborate with internal partners across Estimating, Engineering, and Operations to strengthen relationships and project alignment
Identify and act on opportunities to enhance the customer experience through proactive communication and support
Participate in onboarding and mentoring new team members by sharing best practices and lessons learned
Practice giving and seeking feedback to support growth, collaboration, and performance improvement
Demonstrate and uphold Power Design’s core values of integrity, accountability, teamwork, innovation, and growth
Here’s What We’re Looking For
Internal candidates: Minimum of 2 years in a Lighting Associate role with a Corporate Manager recommendation
External candidates: Bachelor’s degree (any field) with 3+ years of related sales experience (industry, scope, or product type)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and quotation software (Oasis preferred)
Demonstrated ability to review, interpret, and prepare project documentation accurately
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both internal and external customers
Strong business acumen and understanding of project financials
Ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
ALA’s Lighting Associate (LA) Certification (required within 90 days of hire if not already obtained)
Self‑motivated and driven to continuously learn, improve, and contribute to team goals
