Job Description Thinkpath Engineering Services (TES) is a trusted engineering firm offering integrated design, technical documentation, and placement services. Responsibilities

Design and engineer equipment utilizing the prepared proposal, budget and customer specifications to produce products and computer generated drawings for fabrication while focusing on reducing cost and cycle time.

Responsible for the engineering content of one (or several) projects from project start in engineering to final acceptance by customer.

Review engineering file prepared by sales and proposal.

Review customer’s project specifications and use as a design tool.

Interact and communicate with customers, project managers, vendors and the controls group as project dictates.

Requisition all necessary purchased & stock material for machines through purchasing within proposed budget constraints.

Support R&D initiatives.

Design / Detail machines utilizing SolidWorks and SolidWorks EPDM (may use AutoCAD also) while following prototype and drawing standards.

Prepare customer approval drawings.

Prepare electrical, manufacturing and maintenance manual line up forms.

Assist manufacturing personnel as needed to ensure smooth build of machinery.

Work with purchasing to expedite materials when needed.

Perform an “In House” engineering run off, debug and resolve any problems before customer run-off.

Generate mechanical / pneumatic drawing package as directed.

Follow up on items that may need to be addressed before machine ships.

Prepare and distribute all project related documentation and correspondence.

Manage the Reliability and Maintainability issues for assigned jobs to meet Quality requirements.

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering (BS or MS), or equivalent experience with AS degree

3+ years of experience in Mechanical Design

Knowledge of sheet metal design and/or structural design

Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD is a plus

Must have basic knowledge of computers, engineering concepts, and project management

Must have basic Microsoft products knowledge
