Commercial Loan Documentation Specialist
SUMMARY : To assist in all phases of the Commercial Loan Department, to include support for all Commercial Lenders, Special Accounts Manager, Portfolio Managers and branches.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and input commercial loan documents including commercial C&I loans, commercial real estate, construction loans, ABC lines of credits, standby letters of credits, modifications and renewals to represent the structure of the approval.
Review loan documents for accuracy and compliance with bank policies to meet all lien perfection requirements, policy requirements, financial and non‑financial conditions and regulatory requirements pertaining to the loan.
Review all outside supporting documentation including but not limited to Articles of Incorporation, By Laws, Trust Agreements, Operating Agreements, Searches, Appraisals, Insurance Policies and Flood Certifications to ensure compliance with loan approval.
Research governmental and public records to assess borrowing entity, guidelines for lien perfection, purchase money notifications and authorizations of signers associated with LLC, LLP and Trust.
Review executed loan documents for accuracy, forward documents for recording, follow‑up for filing information and prepare disbursements.
Accurately record and file liens, titles and UCC Statements.
Accurately process paid‑off commercial loans, release appropriate liens and disburse final documents to the clients.
Organize loan files; make required copies and forward file to Loan Servicing for set‑up on the core system.
Request files from the vault in order to process loan documents.
Complete all mandatory and elective training, including BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) and Anti‑Money Laundering procedures. Maintain compliance with all appropriate rules and regulations.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Regular, predictable attendance is an essential requirement of this position.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE :
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Minimum of three (3) years commercial loan related experience; title company experience preferred.
Knowledge of loan documentation systems (e.g. Laser Pro) a plus.
Ability to prioritize and multi task.
Strong attention to detail and effective time management are required.
Knowledge of Word, Excel, Internet navigation/research, and Outlook is expected.
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
