Water's Edge Apartments, located in Columbus, is currently seeking a full-time leasing consultant to join our team.
Compensation:
Hourly pay plus commission.
Job Summary The Leasing Consultant is responsible for overseeing the daily leasing activities of the property, including touring apartments with prospective residents, processing applications, executing leases, renewing leases with current residents, and performing additional duties as directed by the Property Manager.
Supervisory Responsibilities None
Duties/Responsibilities
Warmly greet visitors, prospective residents, and current residents.
Provide brochures, property information, and conduct tours of available apartment homes and community amenities.
Maintain an outgoing, friendly demeanor with a strong customer‑service mindset.
Attract prospective residents through outreach marketing, community engagement, property tours, and consistent follow‑up.
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the application process, including resident screening, approvals, and lease execution.
Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Property Manager.
Provide courteous and efficient handling of maintenance requests and general property inquiries.
Required Skills/Abilities
Outgoing and professional demeanor with the ability to make others feel welcome and comfortable.
Strong sales, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Detail‑oriented and highly organized.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous leasing experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, and using a computer.
Ability to conduct property tours and meet with prospective residents.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
Weekend availability required.
