Role Overview The Oracle WACS Asset Management Business Analyst supports the functional design, configuration, and build activities for Oracle Work and Asset Cloud Service (WACS) Asset Management capabilities within a utilities transformation program. This role works hands‑on with business stakeholders and configuration teams to translate requirements into detailed functional designs, support system configuration, validate data structures, and orchestrate design decisions within a hybrid agile delivery model. The analyst supports asset lifecycle processes including asset master data, asset hierarchies, location structures, condition tracking, and asset relationships across electric and gas operations.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Design & Requirements Translation
Support detailed functional design for WACS Asset Management capabilities including:
Asset and sub‑asset structures
Asset hierarchies and parent‑child relationships
Location and functional location models
Asset attributes, specifications, and user‑defined fields
Asset status management and lifecycle transitions
Translate workshop outputs and global design decisions into:
Functional Design Documents (FDDs)
Configuration workbooks
Process Flow Diagrams
RICE object inputs (Reports, Integrations, Conversions, Extensions)
Partner with data and integration teams to validate asset‑related dependencies (GIS, CCS, OFS, Finance, etc.)
Configuration & Build Support
Support configuration of:
Asset types and categories
Asset numbering schemes
Asset status controls
Asset relationships and attachments
Asset inspection and condition frameworks
Perform system unit testing and support functional testing cycles
Validate conversion mapping for legacy asset data
Assist in defect triage and resolution during build and SIT
Hybrid Agile Orchestration
Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand‑ups
Break functional scope into build‑ready backlog items
Coordinate cross‑workstream dependencies (Work Management, Supply Chain, Finance, OFS)
Support release planning activities and readiness checkpoints
Track design decisions and configuration impacts across releases
Business Collaboration & Governance
Facilitate focused working sessions for asset data and lifecycle processes
Support impact assessments for regulatory, compliance, and reporting requirements
Ensure alignment with utility asset management best practices
Support training content inputs and knowledge transfer activities
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience with Oracle WACS / Oracle EAM / Oracle Cloud Asset Management
Utilities industry experience (electric, gas, generation, transmission, distribution)
Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management and asset master data governance
Experience supporting hybrid agile delivery models
Hands‑on functional configuration and testing experience
