Banking Specialist Sr
– The Banking Specialist Senior promotes the organization’s banking services, recognizes sales opportunities, and makes introductions to team specialists including financial center managers, relationship managers, or other delivery channels such as small business, commercial banking, and treasury management. This role understands client needs with the goal to acquire, retain, and deepen client relationships by offering a full range of financial services. Under limited supervision, this position works with a wide range of client types with a focus on high-net-worth clients and prospects and is responsible for key sales management and operational functions within the financial center.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Promotes the organization’s banking financial services suitable for the client based on profiling, identifying client needs, and partnering with specialists throughout the enterprise.
Understands client needs and assists with a full range of expanded financial services including banking, small business, commercial banking, treasury management, and lending.
Participates as a team member with responsibility for achieving individual goals and objectives to successfully meet the financial center business plan.
Consistently meets/exceeds customer experience and individual/team production goals and enhances year-over-year revenue growth.
Partners with all lines of business including commercial and multifamily lending groups.
Executes the bank’s risk culture and strives for operational excellence.
Adheres to established policies and procedures while opening/servicing the full range of Retail products.
Exceeds client expectations by taking ownership and accountability of the client and making the client’s needs a priority.
Provides support to financial center managers or relationship managers as an important client service team member and serves as an advisor to the client’s ongoing financial needs.
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of retail banking experience with a strong business development background
Skilled in assisting small business clients and opening new accounts, with a focus on personalized service
Proven ability to acquire, retain, and deepen client relationships through consultative engagement and tailored financial solutions
Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced environments
Hands-on expertise in teller operations, including cash handling and transaction processing
Preferred Qualifications
Fluent in English, with bilingual proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin
Prior experience with IBS (Integrated Banking System), with the ability to perform operational and system-related tasks
Role Specific Work Experience
3+ Years Required; 5+ Years Preferred
Educational Requirements
Vocational and/or Technical Education Preferred
