Job Summary The Recruitment Specialist Lead will independently assist management in ensuring maximum study participant recruitment for enrolling clinical trials. Will also assist in training and leading new staff members in the department. This role may also assist by acting as a lead for the Community Outreach team.
Essential Responsibilities And Duties
Maintains a professional relationship with potential study participants.
Schedules screening appointments in PRM and Clinical Conductor.
Makes reminder phone calls as needed.
Communicates and reaches out to referral connections, sponsors, or potential providers.
Acts as the liaison for outside referring sources.
Trains new staff members in the department.
Provides regular updates to Manager or Director of Recruitment and site leadership.
Assists Director of Recruitment in reviewing and signing subject pre-screen charts.
Assists with sponsor and CRO communications, including, but not limited to meetings, enrollment updates, and pre-screen log submissions.
Supervises recruitment specialists and ensures call volume and weekly screening appointments are achieved.
Conducts outreach and special events as needed and conducts presentations to various referral sources.
Oversees daily and weekly scheduling of pre-screen appointments for the community outreach team, ensuring appointments are consistently booked and evenly distributed throughout the week.
Ensures proper follow-up procedures are carried out, including re-engagement of no-shows and rescheduling of cancellations.
Provides weekly and monthly performance reports detailing community outreach team activity and outcomes.
Follows up with facility administrators as needed in the absence of the community outreach team.
Ensures outreach staff schedule patients in a timely manner to allow the transportation team adequate time to coordinate routes.
Monitors workflow and proactively identifies and addresses scheduling or follow-up issues to maintain efficiency and meet recruitment goals.
Supports and ensures strictest adherence to best practices, FDA Code of Federal Regulations, ICH (International Conference on Harmonization), GCP (Good Clinical Practices), CenExel standard operating procedures, site working Practices, protocol, and company guidelines and policies.

Education/Experience/Skills
Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Minimum high school diploma or GED.
3 years of clinical research recruitment experience.
Must be detail oriented and have exceptional computer and organizational skills.
Must be self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
Able to take a flexible approach to shifting priorities.
Able to manage multiple projects and responsibilities.
Motivated to work consistently in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment.
Working Conditions
Indoor, Office environment.
Essential physical requirements include sitting, typing, standing, and walking.
Lightly active position, occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
Reporting to work, as scheduled, is essential.
On site work arrangement.
