The Total Rewards Specialist is responsible for delivering high quality support across key areas of Total Rewards, including compensation administration, benefits operations, and leave management. This role ensures accurate data handling, timely execution of HR processes, and exceptional employee support while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, customer focused, and comfortable working across multiple HR systems and processes. Essential Functions
Administer leave programs (FMLA, state leaves, ADA accommodations, and company leave policies) in accordance with federal, state, and local leave laws. Partner with the organization’s third‑party leave administrator to ensure timely processing of leave request, accurate documentation and clear communication between all parties. Update and maintain employee leave status in the HRIS system, ensuring all entries are accurate, compliant and aligned with payroll requirements. Monitor end‑to‑end leave workflows to ensure a smooth, consistent process is followed by employees, managers, HR, payroll and the third‑party administrator. Support day‑to‑day benefits operations, including enrollment, life events, and ongoing administration. Maintain accurate benefit records in HRIS systems and coordinate with vendors on eligibility updates. Serve as the first point of contact for employee benefits questions by monitoring the benefits team’s shared inbox, ticketing system or case‑management platform. Support annual open enrollment activities including communications, system testing, and employee assistance. Provide administrative support for monthly and annual compensation cycles by participating in compensation survey data gathering and submission, preparing employee data, maintaining spreadsheets, organizing documents, and assisting with system updates. Support the Compensation Analyst with basic data auditing, running reports, document gathering, and workflow coordination to ensure compensation processes run smoothly and on schedule. Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with established compensation policies and procedures. Maintain employee records, ensuring confidentiality and data accuracy. Support HR projects, audits, and compliance initiatives as needed. Partner closely with HR team members to ensure seamless delivery of HR services. Perform other duties as assigned. This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications
Education Level Minimum: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience. Preferred: 4‑Year Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field. Preferred other qualifications Preferred other Human Resources Certification. Experience Minimum 3 years related prior work experience in human resources, organization policies, applicable laws, procedures, and processes. Minimum 1 year experience working with HRIS platforms (UKG, Workday, ADP or similar). Additional Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Analytical and data driven mindset Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Strong problem solving and follow through High integrity and professionalism Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HR reporting tools with advanced Excel skills and proficiency with a variety of reporting with a mastery of VLOOKUP and pivot tables being crucial. Strong understanding of federal and state employment and leave laws. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage confidential information.
