Overview

We are looking for an experienced Low Voltage Construction Superintendent (CS) to join our team. The CS will ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to our quality standards. Responsibilities

Safety compliance and promoting accountability among staff and subcontractors; enforce safety policies through active participation in safety-related functions. Supervise craft workers and production; coordinate subcontractors and schedule work. Material handling, daily reporting, quality control, and craft training. Develop pre-job plans, material handling and site utilization plans; participate in project scheduling to align with the job plan. Coordinate and supervise all company work forces on the project; hire and fire hourly personnel and indoctrinate foremen. Develop and mentor Assistant Superintendents, Coordinators, Engineers, Foremen and craft personnel. Manage subcontractor coordination; hold weekly scheduling meetings with subcontractors’ foremen. Maintain timekeeping and cost records; monitor labor costs and implement changes to stay within budget. Expedite vendors and subcontractors; ensure proper material receiving and sign-off on receiving tickets. Participate in owner/architect/contractor meetings; communicate schedule changes and potential conflicts to the owner and representatives. Maintain positive relations with customers and neighbors as required; maintain project logs. Qualifications

Experience managing or overseeing installation of low voltage building systems; Electrical / Low Voltage Systems experience — 3 to 7 years. Experience in Communications Systems Installation Supervision; Outside/Inside Plant Cabling Installation Supervision; Structured Cabling Systems Installation Supervision. Credentials: PMP or BICSI - RTPM (Certified Technology Project Manager) preferred. Other desirable credentials: BICSI Certified Cable Installer, RCDD (Registered Designer). Experience includes: Security Systems Integrator; Audio Visual Systems Integrator; Communication System Integrator. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or Business. Professional accreditations such as DBIA, LEED, etc. are a plus. Essential Duties

Safety - Ensure safety is properly incorporated into job planning and execution; enforce safety policies. Quality - Responsible for all quality control on the project for Company and subcontractors. Job Planning - Develop and implement pre-job plans; plan material handling and site utilization. Scheduling - Participate in project scheduling to align with job planning. Mobilization - Complete tasks as assigned in pre-job planning. Coordinate and supervise all company work forces on the project; manage personnel under supervision. Develop and mentor staff as required; performance evaluations and development. Coordinate and schedule all subcontractors; conduct weekly meetings with foremen. Develop methods and forms to improve job efficiency. Maintain timekeeping and cost records; monitor costs to stay within budget. Expedite vendors and subcontractors; manage material receiving and documentation. Owner relations - Participate in Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings; communicate schedule changes. Special customer requirements and site considerations to ensure satisfactory relations. Maintain project logs. Physical Work

Heavy work with potential to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 50 pounds frequently; ability to move objects. Physical actions include walking, kneeling, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, and climbing; ability to read blueprints and take measurements.
