We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. As part of a hardworking team of dynamic specialists, technicians, engineers, you will supply technical design support for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the New Glenn System Design, Assembly & Test team’s impact on all aspects of the New Glenn launch vehicle, ground system and facility development including launch vehicle interface control between elements, conceptual drawings, vehicle processing, launch operations, ground support equipment. You’ll be involved in the design, fabrication, installation and commissioning of systems associated with this advanced launch system. As a Technical Designer, you’ll provide CAD and PLM support for the structural, mechanical and fluids systems throughout the development, manufacturing and launch operations phases. Utilizing PTC Creo and Windchill, you will create and maintain large 3D parametric design model and drawing data sets for a multitude of systems and teams. The best Blue Origin technical designers are versatile and skilled with experience using Creo’s supplemental extensions, such as AFX, Piping and Cabling, as well as proficient in manipulating associated Windchill product structures and change notices.
