The University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) Department of Athletics is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Marketing Event Assistant. Seawolf Athletics is a member of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) and competes in multiple NCAA divisions. The Seawolf program features 13 teams competing at both the Division 1 and Division II levels. Overview As a Marketing Event Assistant, you will support UAA Athletics with event presentations, game-day operations, and promotions. Duties include assisting with social media, marketing campaigns, community events, promotional materials, and donor/sponsor relations.
Responsibilities
Support event presentations and game-day operations for Seawolf Athletics.
Assist with social media, marketing campaigns, and promotional materials.
Coordinate and participate in community events and donor/sponsor relations.
Qualifications To thrive in this position, you must have excellent organizational skills and knowledge of social media platforms. You should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail) and Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) is expected. The role requires availability to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
Minimum Qualifications
Be enrolled in the university system with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester of employment; or, for employment between semesters, have completed six or more UA credit hours in the preceding semester and plan to enroll for six or more credit hours in the next semester.
Not work hours which interfere with class attendance.
Have at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA.
GNAC and NCAA required learning modules must be completed within 30 days of the job start date. UA Safe Title IX certification or certification completion within 30 days of the job start date.

This recruitment is open to undergraduate students only.
Located on the UAA campus in Anchorage. This is a part-time, non-exempt student position, up to 20 hours per week, at $11.88 per hour.
