Job Title Assistant Director - Athletic Communications

Salary $48,920 - 60,252; commensurate with experience
Job Summary/Basic Function Assist the Associate Athletic Director – Athletic Communications with all forms of athletic communications for the Athletic department, including printed publications, graphic design, photography, website production and coverage, video/audio streaming, game credentials setup for TV and radio, social media communications, media notes, guides, program production, player biographies, statistical information, hiring temporary personnel, media pass distribution, review of content for website, supervise part‑time temp staff, archive data, support weekly news conferences, press luncheons, radio/TV shows, and other tasks as assigned.
Required Education Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
Required Related Experience
One year progressively responsible experience in media relations, sports information, social media, writing and editing, graphic development for social media, photography or comparable.
Experience in producing statistical information, reporting athletic events, design and layout of guide, advanced writing skills for athlete feature stories.
Desirable Related Experience
Three years college sports experience in athletic communications, social media, writing/editing, production, highlight films, photography or comparable.
Experience in producing statistical information, reporting athletic events, design and layout of guide, advanced writing skills for athlete feature stories.
