This Strategy and Transformation Portfolio Analyst will serve as a key member in the Strategy and Transformation Management Office (STMO) to enable the organization to shape and execute Komatsu North America’s strategies. This role will include supporting the processes and cadences involved in executing the strategic planning process for the North America region, driving data‑driven insights into where action is needed and opportunities for efficiencies. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to collaborate across different teams to drive successful change management efforts. Key Job Responsibilities
Assist in the development and implementation of transformation strategies, long‑term strategic roadmaps, and action plans to achieve organizational objectives. Support the strategic planning process and contribute ideas to aligning work to the organization's strategies based on analysis of data. Conduct market scans of the industry to understand trends, industry benchmarks, and market conditions to help inform future strategies. Support the Strategy and Transformation – Portfolio manager in executing against the strategic blueprint process by coordinating across stakeholders to gather input and build material in preparation for workshops and key meetings. Support the Strategy and Transformation – Portfolio manager in collaborating with the Functions to identify and prioritize the needs of different teams. Support the collection and analysis of data into Project Health reports to highlight key trends, areas that need additional support and action, and support ownership of resolutions. Support the identification of key performance indicators that align with organizational strategies and measure the effectiveness of programs. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the overall success of strategic and transformational initiatives. Develop reports, presentations, and data analyses for leadership to communicate strategic priorities in board meetings, executive reports, etc. Understand pain points from across the organization and pull together analyses of options to align on a go‑forward solution. Conduct analyses to identify opportunities for process improvement to optimize performance across business functions. Identify key strategic material that can be reused across different stakeholders and meetings, ensuring accessibility and standardization of messaging. Assist in conducting stakeholder analyses, change impact assessments, and risk assessments to capture a complete understanding of impact and promote successful adoption of programs. Provide support in developing materials, communication plans, and other resources to facilitate change adoption and ensure stakeholder engagement. Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field preferred; minimum of 5 years of work experience. Proven analytical skills applied to business problems in either corporate or consulting setting. Flexibility and maturity to interact effectively with executives, associates at all levels, distributors, customers, and suppliers across cultures. Proactive in identifying areas of opportunity for efficiencies and partnerships. Ability to package story and communicate to senior management, including the CEO, COO, CFO. Proficient in data visualization, analysis, modelling and business presentation skills (Excel, PowerPoint required). Additional Information
Hiring Range At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $Min. $76,600 – Mid. $95,700. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
