We're seeking an experienced
A/V Technical Systems Designer
to lead the design and technical development of integrated audiovisual solutions. In this role, you'll support projects from early concept through deployment, working closely with sales teams, project managers, and technicians to ensure every system is engineered accurately and performs reliably in the field.
What You'll Do
Translate client requirements into clear system designs, drawings, bills of materials, and scopes of work
Recommend A/V solutions and guide stakeholders toward the best technical approach
Create system schematics, line diagrams, rack elevations, and as‑built documentation
Support sales teams by attending calls, answering technical questions, and contributing to proposal development
Conduct on‑site surveys, evaluate installation environments, and perform quality checks throughout the project
Provide remote and on‑site troubleshooting during installation and post‑deployment
Collaborate with installation technicians to ensure systems are integrated and commissioned correctly
Develop and execute test plans to verify system functionalityCoordinate network requirements with internal teams or client IT departments
Provide end‑user training sessions after deployment
Maintain organized, accurate system documentation and updates
Stay informed on industry trends, evolving technologies, and new product releases
What You Bring
7+ years of professional A/V industry experience, including at least 3 years in system design
Strong understanding of audio‑visual system integration, conferencing platforms, and IP networking fundamentals
Experience with platforms and technologies such as Q‑SYS, Crestron, Logitech, Atlas IED, Biamp, Cambridge, BrightSign, and similar systems
Proficiency in Bluebeam, CAD tools, Visio, and Microsoft Office
Strong communication skills, including clear technical writing and customer‑facing communication
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in fast‑moving project environments
A collaborative approach with strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities
AVIXA CTS certification preferred but not required

Communicating effectively with clients and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle
Supporting installations with reliable technical guidance and timely troubleshooting
Maintaining a high standard of professionalism, organization, and detail in all documentation
Helping drive projects to successful completion by working proactively and collaboratively
