Job Summary The
Mold Maker I
works closely with Senior Mold Makers to support
new mold builds
and perform
repair and maintenance
of Injection, EPP, and Insert molds. This role is ideal for an early‑career mold maker who is eager to develop technical expertise through hands‑on experience, mentorship, and external training programs.

Key Responsibilities Mold Making & Repair
Assist senior mold makers with new mold builds and mold modifications.
Disassemble and assemble molds safely, efficiently, and without damage.
Disassemble and assemble hot runner systems, including wiring and multimeter testing.
Repair and maintain Injection, EPP, and Insert molds under guidance.
Perform routine maintenance on shop equipment.
Machining & Tooling Operations
Set up, program, and operate CNC machines, manual mills, lathes, sinker EDMs, and surface grinders.
Use MasterCam at a basic level for machining operations.
Produce quality workmanship while following proper machining and safety procedures.
Read and accurately use micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Technical Documentation & Instructions
Obtain and follow work instructions from shop drawings, electronic files, sketches, and verbal directions.
Use support software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook for communication and documentation.
Continuous Improvement & Training
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Pursue ongoing training to enhance mold making and machining skills.
Share technical knowledge with less experienced team members when required.
Support training of other team members as assigned.
Safety, Quality & Teamwork
Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and attend safety meetings.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Adhere to department quality standards and report concerns to management.
