We’re currently seeking a passionate and skilled
Jr. Sales Engineer
to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality, engineered solutions to our customers worldwide. In this role you will be responsible for actively engaging in prospecting and developing new accounts, generating sales quotes, and handling customer inquiries to help service customers and grow the business. The Junior Sales Engineer makes cold / warm calls for new market initiatives while becoming technically knowledgeable about the company’s products and services. This position will train in customer service and sales functions across molding and stamping operations.
Responsibilities
Build strong customer relationships, loyalty, and retention through exceptional sales/service and presentation, awareness, and understanding of our active product portfolio.
Handle customer inquiries, process orders, and resolve customer issues promptly. Generate new leads and business.
Prospect new accounts. Place outbound calls to new and existing accounts identifying opportunities, decision maker(s), and related customer service needs.
Thoroughly understand our value-proposition and match it to customer needs.
Work in concert with the sales team to proactively increase market share. Provide support as needed to sales team.
Assist with inventory management based on customer needs.
Requirements
5 years of sales in a manufacturing environment.
Must enjoy the technical aspects of the Sales Engineering role and be passionate and proactive about selling.
Possess the ability to initiate, establish, and nurture business relationships internally and externally with customers – good people skills are a must!
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong computer skills and working experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
This position is fully onsite in our
Elk Grove Village, IL
location.
