
Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable, detail-oriented and experienced Accountant/Tax Preparer to join our growing accounting practice. The Accountant/Tax Preparer will be responsible for clients' personal and business tax preparation and compliance and financial statement preparation. This role requires a thorough understanding of tax laws and regulations, strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations. Prepare and review tax returns, including income, sales, payroll and property tax returns. Provide guidance and support to staff on tax-related matters and financial reporting. Conduct tax research and analysis to identify tax-saving opportunities. Manage tax audits and resolve any tax disputes with authorities. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Enrolled Agent (EA) or equivalent certification. Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation and planning, compliance, and reporting. In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
