We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Closer to join our operations team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the residential mortgage closing process and a proven ability to manage loans accurately and efficiently from clear to close through funding.
This position requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely and compliant loan closings.
Key Responsibilities
Manage residential mortgage loan files from clear to close through funding
Prepare, review, and issue Initial Closing Disclosures and closing documentation in accordance with TRID and regulatory requirements
Ensure all loan files comply with federal, state, investor, and company guidelines
Resolve closing conditions and address last‑minute issues to meet funding deadlines
Maintain complete, accurate, and well‑documented loan files within the loan origination system
Balance the transaction and send wire requests for funding.
Qualifications
Minimum of
3 years of mortgage loan closing experience
Comprehensive knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loan products
Strong understanding of TRID, RESPA, CFPB regulations, and investor requirements
Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Meridian Link preferred but will train
Multi-state closing experience
Background in retail, correspondent, or wholesale mortgage environments
Competitive compensation commensurate with experience
