High Level Project Overview
This role will organize and maintain documents associated with design, engineering, and construction within the Power Generation Sector of client.
This role will focus on the Civil, Structural, Architectural, and Mechanical Engineering Disciplines. (This is NOT an electrical design position).
Organizes and maintains drawings, prints, diagrams, & pdf documents.
Works closely with other designers, engineers, and power station personnel to perform CAD drafting tasks.
Compiles and organizes submittal drawings and documents from 3rd party vendors and consultants.
Locates, modifies, and manipulates CAD files in order print drawings using small and large format plotters.
Top Required Skills
Basic knowledge of civil, structural, architectural, or mechanical drafting principles.
Basic knowledge of structural and mechanical design/construction principles.
Good analytical and abstract thinking skills with the ability to process detailed information.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent computer skills.
Ability to process and understand complex diagrams and process flow drawings.
Ability to use Microsoft office suite of software.
Ability to use AutoCAD software.
Ability to use MicroStation software.
Soft Skill Requirements (Team Fit and Personality Requirements)
Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Ability to lead, collaborate, or work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams.
Education
Minimum: High School Graduate.
Preferred: Associate degree.
Are any certification required:
Must be able to actively show experience with AutoCAD & MicroStation software.
Preferred Years of Experience
Drafter I: 1-3 years of basic experience.
Drafter II: 4-5 years of experience.
