Employee Relations and Recruitment Specialist

Sr. Manager of Human Resources and Recruitment

Non-Exempt, Full-Time
Salary:
$36.05 - $40.86 hourly DOE
Employee Owner Position Purpose Serve as point of contact for employee relations and recruitment support. This position will consult, resolve and make recommendations surrounding Employee Relations related issues. Conduct investigations, coach and provide counsel to leaders through a consultative and partnering approach to resolve Employee Relations issues with minimal guidance from HR Leadership. In addition to employee relations, this position supports managers with recruitment efforts, including sourcing, interviewing and recommending talent. The Employee Relations and Recruitment Specialist aligns through effective collaboration and partnership with the HR Shared Services Team, HR Business Partners and other centers of expertise to resolve issues and minimize risk.
Job Duties And Responsibilities Job Responsibilities: Employee Relations
Uses thorough and in-depth HR knowledge to guide, educate and coach managers, supervisors, and employees on HR policy and procedure, legal matters and employee coaching and development.
Conducts investigations and provides findings and recommendations.
Provides guidance and recommendations to management on counseling process and termination.
Interprets and applies company policies consistently.
Identifies trends in employee issues and recommends preventative solutions.
Maintains confidentiality and documentation of employee matters.
Remains abreast of and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
Supports organization on varying training efforts, engagement initiatives, retention efforts, and culture improvement strategies.
Performs additional HR tasks and/or special projects, as assigned.
Job Responsibilities: Recruitment
Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, role requirements, and workforce planning.
Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract diverse, qualified candidates.
Assist hiring managers in sourcing candidates via ATS, LinkedIn, networking, referrals, and community outreach.
Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, and coordinate interviews.
Guide managers through structured, equitable interview and selection processes.
Facilitate offers, negotiations, and pre-employment processes.
Maintain compliance with EEO/OFCCP and applicable hiring regulations.
Other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or technical school is desired.
Minimum five years of HR experience.
Minimum three years’ experience in employee relations and investigations are required.
Experience in recruitment required.
PHR/SPHR desired.
Additional Qualifications
Ability to comprehend and interpret HR and/or corporate policies and procedures.
Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from employees, co-workers and/or supervisors, as well as ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.
Ability to comprehend and create instructions, correspondence and investigation summaries.
Ability to communicate with employees of all levels.
Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations – advanced analytical skills.
Demonstrates organizational, prioritization, multi-tasking and follow up skills.
Ability to learn and use technology to perform job requirements.
Ability to conduct presentations.
Special Position Requirements
Must have reliable transportation
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance in compliance with Company policy
Essential Functions
Use standard office equipment, including: computer, phone, copier/scanner, etc.
Be stationary for periods of time
Relocate up to 25 pounds
Travel to and from offsite locations

Monday-Friday from approx. 8:00 am-5:00 pm with Hybrid opportunities
This position may require occasional long hours to meet business needs
Approx. 10% domestic travel annually
