Overview Description Of Work A recruitment specialist is a critical role focused on helping students, families, and supporters navigate the path to college. The position will support high achieving recruitment by hosting high achieving applicants at on- and off-campus events, at high school visits and college fairs. Description Of Work A recruitment specialist is a critical role focused on helping students, families, and supporters navigate the path to college. The position will support high achieving recruitment by hosting high achieving applicants at on- and off-campus events, at high school visits and college fairs. The responsibilities of this position include analyzing available data to determine appropriate management and utilization of technology decisions to achieve recruitment goals. It requires knowledge of high ability recruitment efforts and will serve as the connection point for high achieving programs across campus such as the University Honors Program, Jeffrey S Raikes School of Computer Science and Management, and the Nebraska Business Honors Academy.

Responsibilities This role will interact with students and families in person, over the phone, and via email, or approved SMS messaging and deliver individual and group presentations. The position contributes to additional projects connected to recruitment and admissions and is responsible for interpreting admission, financial aid, and university policy to the general public. All Office of Admissions staff for prospective students and answer student inquiries via phone, email, or in person. Night and weekend hours are required.

Minimum Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required.

Must have excellent communication and organizational skills, public speaking experience, ability to work independently, demonstrated ability to think inclusively about interactions and programs. Ability to relate to people of all age groups, academic abilities and cultures. Experience with Microsoft Office software. Ability to manage one’s time and work on multiple projects at once. Must have presentation skills. Written communication skills. Ability to learn new technologies. Must have a valid driver’s license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.

Preferred Qualifications Experience with high ability recruitment. Experience with student information systems. Extensive campus or community involvement. Experience working as a student recruitment ambassador or tour guide. Experience in customer service. Experience using data to analyze happenings and to make recommendations for future work. Ability analyzing data.

Posted Salary $43,888/yr minimum
