Job Summary Oldcastle Infrastructure Products Group (IPG) is seeking an Indirect Tax Analyst who will assist in business‑critical tasks related to indirect taxes and various areas of compliance including sales and use tax reporting and audits. The Indirect Tax Analyst will also lead process improvement activities geared toward creating a sustainable model for ongoing timely and accurate compliance while proactively limiting exposure to risk. This role will play a large part on a small team and will have frequent interaction with all levels of the organization.

Job Location This is a hybrid role based out of our office in Sandy Springs, GA. Successful candidate will be required to be in the office 3–5 days per week.

Job Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with state Sales & Use Tax laws while minimizing audit assessments

Address deficiencies or issues with appropriate locations to ensure future compliance

Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (Indirect Tax team, Shared Services, IT Partners, Business/Finance Leaders)

Manage compliance functions including preparation of state and local Sales & Use Tax returns using Avalara Indirect Tax Return Software

Ensure timely and accurate filing of all returns

Assist on various tax projects involving research and compliance in sales tax, licenses, and general ledger accounting

Help manage departmental workflow

Review and respond to notices from various taxing authorities

Reconcile sales & use tax accounts monthly, quarterly, and annually

Perform account and bank reconciliations

Review, validate, and advise on exemption certificate management

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business

Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience

Experience in Sales & Use Tax compliance

Experience with a business tax engine such as Avalara

Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills (X‑Lookup, Pivot Tables, SumIf, Index (Match) including ability to interpret formulas and modify or troubleshoot issues)

Strong communicator with ability to communicate complex issues and topics in a clear and concise manner

Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize competing tasks. Teamwork skills and positive attitude

SAP ERP, Oracle EPM Consolidation tool (or similar) experience a plus
